Price increase ship excursions ?

Hi has there been a price increase in shore excursions? We are sailing on Allure on 2nd Sept and are just about to book and have realised that they seem to have gone up example a snorkel trip was £45.88 now £52.44. Is this usual, do they come down, is it just because of dollar rate changing. Gill

Depending on when you last looked, it could be an exchange rate issue or there could have been a sale going on. A number of our excursions got cheaper during the 4th of July sale, not sure if it was active on the other side of the pond as well.

Yes, many of the things in the planner have dynamic pricing.

Definitely changed prices :mad:. One I was looking went from $42 without discount to $45 with 10% discount. What kind of fuzzy math is that?

Not necessarily. Mostly I think it's supply & demand. As an example, about 3 months ago got e-mail regarding sale of excursions for our upcoming Anthem cruise to NE/Canada. Looked at them and in my mind it was a bit early to book tours. Bring forward to a month ago--prices went up on average of $10-15 per depending on the type and length of tour. I should have pulled the trigger at that time as supply & demand takes over. Lesson learned, because if I had booked and there was a subsequent price reduction I could have gotten it matched.

Big sale ended yesterday at 12:00 PM EST so that's when the prices increased.

Sales, always seems to appear & disappear. Always pays to look at your cruise planner.
