elliair Posted July 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2018 If the ship makes it to Juneau, I went on the Mendenhall Glacier Hike excursion. The trail takes you right there to the lake, but from the fact the water is rising, the trail may be underwater. If it isn't I recommend this excursion if you like to hike and are in fairly good shape. I wouldn't worry about it.
snowskier Posted July 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2018 Sigh... Why is the world geared to stupid FB? Same reasons so many are geared to this site.
capriccio Posted July 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2018 There has been a thread on the Alaska board about the article too: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2657478.
capriccio Posted July 20, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2018 Sigh... Why is the world geared to stupid FB? I find the assumption that everyone is on Facebook annoying too. Neither my DH nor I are on Facebook but in the case of the National Park Service Facebook account you don't need to be to see the first screen with the warning. When prompted to enter a userid or create a new account just click on 'not now.'
neverbeenhere Posted July 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 20, 2018 It is not my choice to make Facebook and Twitter the sources of info, but as “they” say: it is what it is, and it ain’t change’n. Walter C. died awhile ago.
