Port Everglades Lyft/Uber departure

I would just get a cab, there are plenty of them. You will be trying to find your uber with lots of other people doing the same. Total confusion. Cab to the airport is about $15, it is about a 10 min ride at most. They load up the cabs very fast.

How difficult is it to get an Uber at a Ft. lauderdale hotel, and be dropped off at the port in Ft. Lauderdale, for a cruise?

Not hard at all...it's done all the time ;)

Sleepless:

It is not hard to get Lyft from a Fort Lauderdale Hotel to the port. They are quicker, cheaper and less crowded than the hotel shuttle. Have your passport readily available to show security as you enter the port area. We have used Lyft in April, 2017 and March, 2018 without a problem.

Is a 9:30 am flight from Ft. Lauderdale airport too risky to book if we carry off our own luggage from the Royal Princess>
I won't say it's one way or the other. However, we carried our own luggage off this past Sunday from the Allure. We we're off the ship and in an Uber by 0715ish.

For a 9:30 flight you need to be at FLL NLT about 8:00 - with a 10-15 minute cab/Uber ride from PE to FLL, that translates into off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration by about 7:30 or so.

You can make it, but also have no flexibility in your schedule for delays; do you want to spend your cruise worried about making your flight home?

I would book a flight leaving at 11:00 or later, but it is your call - good luck! ;)

I would NEVER use a taxi/cab as long as Uber/Lyft is an option. It takes literally 2 minutes for an Uber/Lyft to get to the terminal once requested. Once you request your Uber you know exactly what kind of car is picking you up so there is never any confusion.
