CD / DVD players in cabin on Emerald?

Just curious as to whether there would be any point in bringing some favorite music or films along.

On a related note, are movies on DVD loaned out from the onboard library or front desk? (And btw, in case that's a perk reserved for passengers who book suites, let me make clear that I ain't never been in one, other than a social visit to somebody else's-- it's standard oceanview cabins for me. ;))

A CD/DVD player is available if you travel in a full suite. There is a request form to fill out to get 2 at a time. Your room steward will bring them.

Not available on the ships with "on demand" TV.

Since the Emerald hasn't been retrofitted with the new interactive TV system yet, the good news is that you can use their TV's to feed video's & music via a usb cable.

First off, thanks for all the very prompt replies!

Don't know when the next drydock is scheduled-- anybody know if the ship might get that interactive system in the next six months? Cruise is toward the end of January.
