Directly booked on Dec sailing, final payment is Sept. we have two cabins booked (separate floors-long story). We want 5:30pm dining...when and where do we request this?

If you have MTD you can request dining times in your Cruise Planner.

Call whoever booked your cruise. If you booked yourself call Royal.

When you booked the the cruise some type of dining was assigned. Usually they (either your TA or the RCI consultant) asks your preference. If they’d didn’t it may be that only one option was available, but you can still try to switch or be waitlisted for either early traditional or MTD

And either the TA or the phone folks at Royal can link your two cabin reservations so you both are either at the same table or both Mytime Dining. With the latter, if you show up for dinner together they will seat you together.
