court1 Posted August 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2018 If you request to pay cash on board, do you literally have to pay in cash ie pounds/dollars or can you settle the account using your debit card.
JAMESCC Posted August 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2018 If you request to pay cash on board, do you literally have to pay in cash ie pounds/dollars or can you settle the account using your debit card.Hmm interesting question. We always pay in cash but we put 500 bucks in cash and then when that is depleted we put in another 500. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Merion_Mom Posted August 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2018 You can settle with cash, credit card or debit card. They will let you run up close to $300 on a short cruise or $500 on a week or longer cruise before calling you to Guest Services to settle up. court1 Posted August 3, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted August 3, 2018 So that's a good start. Can I pay in GBP or does it have to be in Dollars.

Better to pay using a GBP credit card and let your bank to the conversion.
cb at sea Posted August 3, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 3, 2018 If you plan to use the debit card, do NOT put it "on file" at the beginning of the cruise or "Holds" will incur. Simply keep your account as "cash"...when you pay it off, you can then use the debit for a direct charge against your account.

Clarea Posted August 3, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Do I have to put an initial cash deposit to start with? No, the cruise line will let you charge up to $500 on a 7-night cruise before they ask you to pay down your account.
