clo6216 Posted August 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2018 The last time I was on Oasis of the Seas, the Solarium Bistro was complimentary for Junior Suite (and above) guests. That was a little over a year ago. Is the same true now?
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted August 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2018 Solarium Bistro is for every passenger, perhaps your talking about Coastal Kitchen, which for JS passengers you only can use it for dinner with reservations.

creel5857 Posted August 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2018 So if we have junior suite on vision of seas we can reserve night meal in coastal kitchen with our complimentary speciality meal from our travel agent??
dplusd Posted August 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Vision of the Seas does not have a Coastal Kitchen. They are only on Quantum and Oasis class ships.
ONECRUISER Posted August 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2018 Thank you! I did mean Coastal Kitchen. It's not 100% guaranteed you will get CK every nite, it's space limited for Jr Suites. You might have to be flexible with times/dates they have available. Rare but a couple Cruise Critic member's in last year were not allowed at all during their cruise. papaflamingo Posted August 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2018 So if we have junior suite on vision of seas we can reserve night meal in coastal kitchen with our complimentary speciality meal from our travel agent?? As mentioned, no Coastal Kitchen on Vision. But if you go on a ship with Coastal Kitchen, and in a JS, you can dine in Coastal Kitchen any dinner (if room). No need to use your specialty dining coupon. It really isn't a "specialty restaurant," it's a "suite only" restaurant.
BND Posted August 4, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 4, 2018 We did one night in CK when we were on our b2b on Oasis last fall. Honestly, we did it because we hoped the food would be better than the MDR. Every steak we had in the MDR was fatty and gristly, but so was the one we had in CK. I don't know why, but in our experience, the best food is on the smaller ships. Maybe because they don't have to cook for as many people. The menu in CK is a bit different than the MDR and service is a lot more intimate, plus the views are from the what used to be the VC on Oasis class. Although we were there at night, so the view was more reflective due to the lighting. Anyway, it's still available to JS for dinner. As pp have said, Vision class doesn't have CK or a suite lounge. They still have CL and DL and no separate dining area.
