esper10 Posted August 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2018 hi all, I have a question. I’m cruising on Sep. 10 of this year. I have the 100 shares. Can I fax the copy of my statement showing end of July 31 or do I need to wait until Aug. 31 statement come out. If I wait for the Aug. 31 I will hardly have time left before the cruise. Your answers are appreciated
riffatsea Posted August 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2018 You could have faxed the statement months ago! Do it now.

riffatsea Posted August 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2018 They used to want it within the months close to when you sail. Now you can send it about a year in advance! We have it already for a cruise in April 2019.
2Shoes2Go Posted August 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2018 We booked yesterday for Aug 19; just 10 days out. Faxed the statement at 11:00 am this morning. Got an email back and credit was posted less than an hour later! Not bad ;)
cccer Posted August 10, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 10, 2018 You can send it in for OBC any time before your cruise as long as the board has approved the credit for the upcoming year. They seem to approve it every year but a couple times I applied for it and was denied because they had not approved that year yet. A few months later everything was fine. thinfool Posted August 10, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 10, 2018 Send it whenever you like, after you have put a deposit down or made final payment. Months ahead is correct. Annual approval is irrelevant. Someone finally figured out that, if it was not renewed, all that would happen is that the member cruise line would cancel the benefit. No biggie. Side point: If it was not renewed, the marketing department would go ballistic!
NavarreCruiser Posted August 10, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) It has not been extended past Feb '19 yet. Hold off, they may want a more recent statement. This benefit is currently offered thru July 2019. Below is from a Carnival corporate website, and contrary to what thinfool says it is totally relevant whether the benefit has been extended. It has been extended every year for years but they will not apply it to a cruise that sails after the current approval date. Carnival Corporation & plc is pleased to extend the following benefit to our shareholders:NORTH AMERICABRANDSCONTINENTALEUROPEBRANDSUNITED KINGDOMBRANDSAUSTRALIABRANDSOnboard credit per stateroom on sailings of 14 days or longer US $250 €200 £150 A$250Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings of 7 to 13 days US $100 € 75 £ 60 A$100Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings of 6 days or less US $ 50 € 40 £ 30 A$ 50The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2019 aboard the brands listed below. CoW mAn Posted August 10, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 10, 2018 You can fax it now but you might want to consider bringing a copy along just in case, faxes aren't the most reliable...
