Visa for Cuba for UK citizens

Considering booking a cruise to Caribbean and Cuba for next year. We will be flying into Miami to commence the cruise which will include Cuba. We'll be booking flights and cruise ourselves. How do we get visas for Cuba? Also the cruise is 2 back to backs and will be in Havana twice over the 2 weeks so do we need a new visa each time we dock at Havana?

 

Any other tips or advice in general for this cruise will be welcomed as it's a few years since we did any type of cruise.

Check on the Ports of Call board for Cuba. It might be that UK citizens do not even need one. For US citizens, they are provided through the ship. Also ask on the board here for the cruise line you are using, and join your roll call and see if there are any other UK citizens sailing with you. EM

If you are leaving from a US port you will need the Tourist Card

 

The cruise lines usually provide it for a fee

or you can get one near you before you leave home

 

Probably if you fly from the UK to Cuba the Tourist Card fee would be included in the airfare it is from Canada

I would check with the cruise line or the Cuban Consulate if you would need another tourist card for the 2nd leg of the cruise

 

probably as they collect the card at your last stop in Cuba on the 1st cruise

Tip: If you want to skip the US fees then UK and European lines (MSC/Marella/Costa/P&O) leave from ports such as Jamaica etc to avoid fees for passengers.

 

Not sure what paperwork you might need in the above case however.
