Delta to add non-stop service from Tampa to Amsterdam

Of the US majors, and even compared to several European carriers, Delta has worked to provide a strong onboard product - Updated cabins/seating, Seat Back entertainment on all international flights, free movies better quality food offerings than many competitors, included alcohol on many international flights, etc. Delta has come a long way in the last few years and this provides a great option for those on the West coast of Florida to Mainland Europe. I would gladly connect through Amsterdam any day of the week vs London, Paris or Frankfurt, or even vs connecting over a US hub!

That is good to hear. We have a European cruise booked with Viking Ocean for summer of 2019 and air fare is included. Our gateway city is Tampa and I assumed we would be shipped over to Miami for the international flight.

It will be interesting to see how we are routed to Venice and home from Athens.

You can contact Viking and do a custom air request - for a fee, they will confirm the flights/airlines/routing of your choice. If the flights are not within their standard air contract they will advise of any additional cost. If you booked direct the res agents can assist, if you booked through a Travel Agent they can make the request for you.

Delta/KLM would offer an easy one-stop connection via AMS both ways , as would Lufthansa via FRA
