BlessedMimi Posted August 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2018 I am a Diamond+ cruiser taking off next week for Norway on the Indepedence of the Seas. I have been told I have 3 drinks loaded on my card for each night between 5 and 8. I know margaritas, pina coladas, cosmopolitans, and that's about it! I'm not a big fan of wines. Can you tell me some fancy, yummy other things to try? Also, should I tip the bartender and if so, how much?
BekkaW Posted August 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2018 The 3 drinks are as an alternative to the Diamond lounge, so you can only get the same drinks that would be served in the lounge. You can have a Cosmo, but no blender drinks.

BlessedMimi Posted August 25, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted August 25, 2018 Bummer! I was told I could get any drink at any bar. But I was suspicious from past experience!
happilyafterever Posted August 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2018 I’m partial to tequila sunrises and margaritas, which both happen to be on the Diamond Happy Hour list. Tequila just goes down smoother for me than any other liquor, which is good since I like my alcoholic drinks to taste like they have no alcohol while still getting me buzzed haha
Royal_Cruise_Bear Posted August 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2018 Try a Vodka Tonic and everyone is pretty shure that you have to be from Russia. ;p And our accent is not really russian like :D
Ashland Posted August 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2018 My favorite drink during the D+ happy hours is a "Lemon Drop" ;p
Rare little britain Posted August 25, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 25, 2018 You can order off this menu during the Diamond hours drinks. Bubbles also included. As many drinks as you want during these hours within the lounge, or 3 drinks at any bar from the same menus in the same timeframe. Basic cocktails can be made with these ingredients . Lemon drops seem popular. I’m a G&T gal myself. Yes it is customary to tip the waiters. I tip $1. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Landlocked Luke Posted August 25, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 25, 2018 Decent Gin and Whiskey choices. Scraping the bottom of the barrel with the vodka and tequila.

BND Posted August 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 25, 2018 One thing I can always get in the CL on Grandeur is a chocolate martini. Haven't been able to get it in DL's though. Lemon drops are very popular as are Bailey's over ice and wine, but you'll also see screwdrivers, Gin and Tonic, etc. There's always a few beer drinks but I'm not impressed with their offerings. DH drinks Strongbow cider sometimes. I've had margarita on the rocks a couple of times too. And, we tip every night for each drink and then give an additional amount on the last night too.
