kaylasnana Posted August 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2018 just realized our cabin is below the casino. I have enough trouble sleeping without any added noise. I’ve never been able to find earplugs that fit because I guess my ears are a bit screwy. Any suggestions welcome.
kittykittygrrl Posted August 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2018 I'm a horrible snorer, I admit it. BF had tried all sorts of ear plugs. The best ones he's discovered are actually found in the sporting section, the ones used for shooting. They're usually bright orange. They're cheaper and work the best in his opinion. mybagsarepacked Posted August 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2018 These are what I use. They have a nice line/cord that you can use around your neck like a necklace on an airplane so they don't pop out and get lost. I always have a pair or two packed in my travel bag. I found them via a travel blogger. I bought the box of 100. They will last me forever, even if I am giving them away here and there. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017JIT4C/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=
ColinIllinois Posted August 30, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Also look up "custom made earplugs". There are do it yourself kits you can get, or go to an ear doctor for custom fits.

These work great for me. They also use these where I work to protect employee's ears around riveting and machinery noises.
Oldgoat61 Posted August 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 30, 2018 google "mighty plugs". Have used these for years, and will conform to your ear canal.
Visigoth Posted August 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Another option is noise canceling earbuds. The better ones are very comfortable. I use over-the-ears battery powered noise canceling head phones.

It's carpeted, so there won't be the horrible screeching furniture dragging noises at 4:00 am (been there!) like if you were under an outdoor seating area. And it's not dancing and loud music from a disco or herds of kids in the kid's club.
AmyJA Posted August 30, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Now you made me go look and see if I still had them in my travel kit....nope down one pair. You all are helping Amazon!
mef_57 Posted August 30, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 30, 2018 I go to the drugstore and choose the ones with the strongest ratings for sound reduction. Sometimes they are orange, sometimes another colour. All of them are made to conform to ear size. Maybe you just need to learn how to insert them properly. I am sure there is a YouTube for that.... The sports issue ones sound interesting. I am a light sleeper and at times my current earplugs don't cut it.
tallnthensome Posted August 30, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 30, 2018 Lectrofan micro wireless white noise speaker. Pair this with simply earplugs or even without earplugs. This thing is great!

Warm Breezes Posted August 31, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 31, 2018 My husband is a loud snorer. I have recently discovered inexpensive orange Meijer brand that I can buy in a larger container that are the best I have had in all the years I have been using them. They are so good my husband has to wake me up in the morning when my alarm is going off since I don’t hear anything.[emoji4] Sent from my iPad using Forums
