rkacruiser Posted September 10, 2018 #114 Share Posted September 10, 2018 I didn't get a good view of any zodiacs. I did see some type of contraption next to the lifeboat on the bow that probably is designed to lower if it needed.

Rare kazu Posted September 10, 2018 #117 Share Posted September 10, 2018 There are supposed to be eight (8) stored on her bow, Ann 8 doesn't seem like many considering the passenger numbers? I suspect only a few will get to go on them?
Rare Vict0riann Posted September 10, 2018 #118 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Missing lifeboat and winch, I guess. And the space for the missing lifeboat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

rkacruiser Posted September 10, 2018 #124 Share Posted September 10, 2018 I heard the toots and they were good! I am not sure how I would feel if I appeared on the LP Deck and found I was assigned to a Lifeboat that was not there. I really wonder what their emergency embarkation plan is for that lifeboat stored on the bow.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted September 10, 2018 #125 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Missing lifeboat and winch, I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The crane on the starboard (left side of the pic) is there to lower equipment like the paint float, and at times, a gangway to the water line and/or dock. It could be used to lower empty zodiacs to the water line. There used to be a similar crane on the port side which appears to have been removed. The white & black contraption to the rear of the lifeboat is the spare anchor. That life boat is only there temporary. During dry-docks all lifeboats and tenders are removed and a full inspection, as well as maintenance and repairs (if needed) is carried out on the lifeboat/tender davit system. Me thinks something has prevented that lifeboat on the bow to be returned/housed to/in its normal location on the port side.
