Vision of the Seas or Celebrity Infinity

We want to do a cruise visiting Malta and one or two of the Greek Isles next year and we prefer to sail out of Barcelona. We have sailed with P&O, RCI and NCL and prefer RCI and NCL. We are 65 and 73. We love the big ships (just back from Symphony of the Seas) but have also enjoyed Serenade and Brilliance of the Seas. Looking at the reviews both of these ships are small, are quite old and have good and bad reviews.

Has anyone got any views on which one we should book as we like both of the itineries but have never sailed with Celebrity?

We have cruised for many years with RCI and in the recent two years have moved our itineraries to Celebrity. We feel that Celebrity is more oriented towards adult demographics and less with families and don't have all the venues and family activities as RCI. The focus is more of a traditional cruising style, which we now enjoy. We also feel that the service levels and degree of personal attention is better with Celebrity. But in our experience, the biggest difference lies with the food, which again in our opinion, is definitely better in all venues than RCI.

The ships will be more similar than different and if the itinerary is attractive, our choice would be Celebrity over RCI.

If you are interested, here is a link to a thread I started comparing RCI to Celebrity after our first cruise with them on Summit:

Another vote for Celebrity.

We have sailed Celebrity a number of times before becoming loyal to Royal...only because of family and the activities it offers.

If just the two of us, it would be Celebrity. We've been on both the Vision of the Seas and the Infinity.........again, Infinity wins our vote. Happy Sailing. :)
