Ensenada layover?

Has anyone ever booked a layover in Ensenada on Carnival? In other words, sail from LA, stay a few days in Ensenada, then return on a different ship/sailing? Is it possible?

It is not allowed but just wondering why you would want to?

 

From our couple of stops there only thing to do is go to a blowhole near town, couple of wineries who supposedly make pretty bad wine and a newly open aquarium.

 

We do like to watch the sea lions who like to hang out by the bow of the ship.

There's a triathlon there in December that I'm thinking of doing. Tacking on a cruise, however short, either side of it might be fun. But if it's not doable, then it's not doable. Thanks for the info!

Drive down there. Its closer than the drive to San Francisco, about 4-5 hours.

It's definitely not do-able. Carnival doesn't allow this.

NO cruise ship would allow this. Cruises are not transportation to Mexico.

I'm pretty sure not, but then what could they do if you missed the ship? Ensenada doesn't have an international airport. You could take a bus to San Diego, or catch another cruise ship, space available.

 

 

In the past, Carnival has started cruises in Ensenada to bypass the idiotic PVSA.
