Cruising out of Miami questions

Good morning and have some stupid questions to start your day with! We are cruising out of Miami (driving to the port as we live about 3 hours away) on the Magic in November. First time leaving out of Miami. We're going to be parking at the terminal. Are there signs directing you to the correct terminal? Do we drop our bags off first and then park the car? With the amount of ships there is it typically a zoo getting in there?

Thanks in advance!

The port is always chaos but there are plenty of signs. I have found it easier to park off site and just have the shuttle drop us right at baggage check. Saves money and less walking with all the luggage.

Offsite parking in Downtown Miami? Worst possible advice to give someone who needs their car intact and driveable when they return from their cruise.

Miami isnt bad. You can drop people off and then park. If you have more than 1 bag each, that will most likely be easier. It will be a little busy, but it's just traffic and they do have people directing traffic which helps. Tell them what youre doing and they will direct and help with traffic flow.

Yeah...I agree with you. We live 3 hours up the road from Miami and have spent a lot of time there. Miami is the only port where we'll be using the port's parking.

The parking garages for each cruise line are basically just in front of where your ship will dock. Drop off your luggage and passengers then go park. Easy, peasy. As someone else mentioned, DO park in the port parking garages and NOT at the off site parking in downtown Miami. Better be safe than sorry and it's worth the $20 per day to have a car in one piece when you return.
