bbnjcruiser Posted October 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2018 Hello - Does anyone know if it is possible to say bring aboard fine champagne, caviar, or arrange for very high quality quality ingredients to be served (for example fresh, live 3lb lobsters or Wagyu beef, or tiger shrimp) Is it possible to arrange an extraordinary performance by the Haven chef? bbnjcruiser Posted October 6, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted October 6, 2018 I understand the cruise line / I am asking if it is possible to create a very special event or two while on board without regards to cost. FLcruisergrl Posted October 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2018 You can bring aboard champagne and potentially the caviar, but not the fresh food. They also would not stock specialty food just for you, as far as I know. The Haven has good food available, but not large fresh lobsters and such. Rare rxlowry Posted October 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2018 I think NCL sells caviar so I doubt they would let you bring it. I'd contact the concierge to ask if your preferences could be ordered for you for extra cost. I think the best answer is sail a cruise line where these are standard but if you like the atmosphere on NCL give it a go!
mjkacmom Posted October 6, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2018 You can bring all of the champagne you wish for $15 a bottle and any factory sealed food.
Rare ColeThornton Posted October 6, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2018 That sort of seems like it would be disrespectful to the head chef in the Haven. Would you bring all your own food to a land based restaurant? That seems odd to me.

yankees111 Posted October 6, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 6, 2018 If you do not like the quality of food on NCL perhaps you should sail a more upscale cruise line. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Is it possible to arrange an extraordinary performance by the Haven chef? No fresh foods or any types of meats can be brought on board You can have your butler bring any regular menu item from any restaurant to you. Otherwise, grill class on Cunard would better be able to meet your specifications. We we presented with the dinner menu at breakfast daily and would special order if there wasn’t something acceptable. And could order caviar at no additional charge. DMH15 Posted October 6, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 6, 2018 Perhaps you should charter a private yacht? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
bbnjcruiser Posted October 7, 2018 Author #13 Share Posted October 7, 2018 Perhaps you should charter a private yacht? Sent from my iPhone using Forums I think you will find a private yacht charter to be approximately 10 times a Haven suite running around 80-120k / week for the most modest yacht and far, far beyond for luxury. Although you can bring a few guests along so per person it comes down a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Thank you bird - I have travelled in Queens Grill class on Cunard and they are indeed remarkably accommodating - if it’s on the ship you can have it! Rare rxlowry Posted October 7, 2018 #16 Share Posted October 7, 2018 It's not just Cunard. Seabourn has all the caviar you want included.
