Lots of questions about Epic cruise

Does anyone know the answer to the following questions:-

1. I have this as part of my package "CE UK Free Pre-Paid Service Chargers Per Day" plus the UBP service charge included. What else would I expect to pay? I know about the cost and service charges for the non complimentary restaurants.

2. NCL have arranged my flights so if the ship arrives back at Port Orlando for disembarkation at 08.00 and my flight leaves at 20.00, will I be spending hours at the airport?

3. As the gratuities are already paid for, is it still wise to tip the cabin steward?

4. I'm a solo traveler but I can't seem to book a table for 1 at the specialty restaurants online as the only options start at 2! Shall I just wait until I get on board?

1. There is nothing else that you will have to pay unless you want to. There is also a gratuity charged on some extra purchases such as the Spa (I believe, I never use it personally).

 

2. I’d look at finding something to do during that time. NCL often offer disembarkation day excursions that end at the airport. You could also do something yourself, but would then have to find your own way to the airport. Otherwise, yes you will be waiting for a long time.

 

3. Up to you. It isn’t necessary, but many people do.

 

4. I’d book for two and adjust it onboard. The biggest issue with this is that you would have to pay for 2 (unless you have the dining package) in some places like Moderno or Teppenyaki. You get this refunded onboard, but I’d wait if that is the case. Nothing to stop you booking the a la carte places either way as there is no charge whilst booking.

It is possible to have a zero balance bill at the end of your cruise. You just have to be disciplined about not spending money on unnecessary items.

 

Common purchases are Specialty Dining (totally unnecessary), Shore Excursions, Bottled Water, Specialty Coffees, Alcohol which exceeds the $15 covered by the UBP, Cirque Dinner Show, Gift Shop purchases, food and drink ashore, Bingo, Deal or No Deal game tickets, lottery tickets, casino gambling,

If NCL has arranged for your transfer, then you will be taken directly to the airport from the ship. Many with late flights would purchase a post-cruise shore excursion to someplace like the Kennedy Space Center which drops you and your luggage off at the airport at the conclusion of the tour.

The steward is covered by the pre-paid gratuities. If you wish to provide exta tip, you may. We always tip our cabin steward an extra $10 per day.

Book a table for 2. If you are planning to dine at Monderno or Teppanyaki, those have a fixed cover charge and would bill you for 2 people (which can be refunded on board). Call your local NCL office for assistance. Or, on embarkation day, make your way to restaurant reservations as soon as you embark and sort out your dining.

Just as a clarification, but coffees are included for you with meals. They are chargeable if you get them from the cafe in the atrium.

Thanks!Water is included as well as specialty coffees with a meal. I think I will book the Kennedy Space Centre Tour as the though of spending longer that I need to fills me with horror! :')

Another after cruise excursion is the Airboat ride and Gator Park. I love this excursion, I've done it twice. With any of the excursions you will still have time at the airport....your flight is really late.
