We have never sailed on royal Caribbean before so not really familiar with those.  We have done 9 or 10 on carnival and I think 4 on Norwegian but I don’t think Norwegian counts since all those were on the awful pride of America.

There is a gate at the outside stairway that is locked. You can only enter on deck 14 by the elevators.  You have to go through the lounge to get outside.

Things may have changed since the refurb. You could walk through sliding door and into the patio area. At the end of the patio there is/was a open stairway leading to deck 13. A gate at the top of the stairs was locked, needs a old fashioned metal key,  so no one could come up from deck 13. Interlopers not allowed.  Last year both sides were open for the DL, now Dl starboard side and suite on port side.

No, I was wondering if it the same set up as the Suite Deck on Oasis class.  Pax are up there in bathing suits, have showers to cool off in, and are wearing swim attire.  But it is of course separate from the SL further down the ship.  

 

Or it could be more like Radiance class concierge lounge, with outside seating area and locked gate to the stairs?
