Customs in Key West

Hi All,

We are going on Infinity in December with a stop in Cozumel and then Key West. Since we go to Key West prior to arriving back in Ft. Lauderdale, will we go through customs there? If so how does that work? I know I have seen posts about it before but can't seem to find them. Thanks

You will go through immigration in Key West, and then Customs in Fort Lauderdale.

I just did customs in Key West two weeks ago on the Equinox, It was very smooth.  US passports went to the sky lounge, and non US went to the main dining area.  Everyone was given a time frame to go.

Just did An Equinox cruise, last port was Key West. Customs officials were on the ship, you were called down in blocks and he looked at my passport and that was it. When we docked in Miami the next day, we walked off the ship , got our luggage and went right to our car.

Also did it.  Customs officers brought on ship in Key West to check ALL passports.  No further customs in FLL or Miami.  Ship docks and you are free to go.  Enjoy

What everyone else said but, I went early as I wanted to get of and go running in Key West.   I was scheduled for 8:50 but went right about 8:00 and it was empty.  They also hole punch your sea pass and that allows you off and on the ship.  Without it you cannot get off.

 

The best part was in Miami we just walked out, no Customs, nothing, which surprised me.  

 

I wish every cruise did this 🙂
