Getting rid of preview

I like to go down the list of threads in a forum and open each of the ones I want to read in a new tab, and then when I'm done I read those I've selected.

But now we have this little preview window that pops up and, frequently, covers up other thread titles.

So I have 2 questions:

1) is there a setting so that the preview window does not pop up in the first place, and

2) if not, what is the fastest way to clear that preview window?

Move your cursor off the list of thread titles. The preview window ought to clear after about 1 or 1½ seconds.

Thanks, that helps.  But I would still love it if it could be immediately dismissed, or even better there was a setting that just shut previews off altogether.

I wish I could get this feature to work consistently on my pc.
