Anthem - Diamond Drinks in Lounge or Seapass Card

Will be going on the Anthem in December.  Will be our first time being Diamond.  We have sailed the Anthem before.  Need info on the Diamond Lounge - times and drinks.  Any recent cruisers on the Anthem - did you use the Diamond Lounge for drinks or were the drinks uploaded to your seapass card?  If on the seapass card, were you able to use it in the MDR or any bar on the ship?

 

Also, what other perks are there being Diamond?

Just off Anthem last week.  Drinks are unlimited in the Diamond Lounge from 4:30 to 8:00, plus 3 drinks on your seapass to use at most bars on the ship.  Never ordered a drink in the MDR because our dinner time was 8:00 -- after the timeframe.

 

You will get a list of perks when you board, but two that we used were the $10 off laundry, and the one free photo each.

Our Anthem cruise in September was also our first cruise as diamond.  The welcome letter in cabin explains the diamond lounge and other perks. They also offered a back stage tour of the theatre with Q and A with some of the cast, that we really enjoyed.

Yes.  However, we ordered multiple cans of diet coke from bars and took them to our cabin and stashed in the mini for later consumption.  Also, as we are not much of liquor drinkers took cans to the MDR.

No caffeine free diet coke.  Have to go with Sprite Zero.

The answer in September was no for D drinks in MDR.

Don't know as I need the caffeine.  Just ask as you've got nothing to loose.  I believe I did see Coke Zero.

Not on the Anthem Aug. 29th cruise.  However, you can use the 3 drink allowance in just about any bar and entertainment venue.

 

FYI:  You can use the 3 drink allowance in the MDR on Oasis class.

Anthem is a "no" on using the vouchers in dining venues.  

 

You can use the voucher at any bar on the ship except the Bionic Bar.

 

Please tip when you get each drink.  (only mentioning this because the OP said "first cruise as Diamond".)

We typically used the 3 vouchers loaded onto our SeaPass card at one of the bars to get bottled water, soda and beer to take to our cabin and keep in the fridge. Before dinner we’d have free drinks in the D Lounge, then get a couple glasses of wine to take with us to dinner. 

 And we gave a very hefty tip to the D Lounge server!

We took the Anthem on the New England/Canada cruise.  There were so many Diamond members that they had to open the bar right outside the Diamond lounge to accommodate the masses!  I hope (and I am sure) there is another concierge in the Diamond lounge by now.  The one we had was only available when it was time to close down the lounge!  the 3 drinks are loaded to your card so if the lounge is crowded, just go to another bar.  BTW, the drink vouchers DO NOT work at the Bionic Bar.  Enjoy being diamond!
