Taxi cost to Horseshoe bay

We are a group of 8 that want to go to Horseshoe beach. How many people do the mini buses hold? Does it pay to try to pre-book one of these?

Different size vehicles but generally between 12-15. The $7 minibus shuttles are shared ride so you don’t pre-book. They run back and forth between the Dockyard and Horseshoe during the day.

I'm not sure where I read it but I saw something about a surcharge for taxi's and mini buses on Sundays and holidays. Does anyone know anything about this?

It's taxi surcharge of 25% for 1-4 passengers, 50% for 5-7 passengers. There's no surcharge for the mini buses that run to the beach  that I'm aware of.

And are there usually taxi’s waiting at Horseshoe during the day that could take you elsewhere from there?
