OhioGirl Posted November 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2018 We just returned from our Carnival Sunshine cruise, and we had a day in St. Thomas. We decided to take the tram up to Paradise point for their the wonderful view and of course their tasty bushwacker drinks. I'm posting this to inform you that if you are in the military or a veteran...you can get a free ticket with proper ID and a purchase of another adult ticket. I hope this information will save you money to spend on more bushwackers!!!

mississauga Posted November 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2018 (edited) Most ship excursions are usually more than booking independently. Tickets for the skyride to Paradise Point are actually cheaper if you purchase it from the Carnival excursions desk. $19.99 and I believe at the ticket booth they were a few dollars more. mompells Posted December 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2018 How far is Paradise Point away from where the cruise ships dock? How do you get to Paradise Point once you get off of the ship?
bigsky109 Posted January 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2019 It is an easy walk. Don't forget to visit the Pirate Museum there. Last time we went it was great. The guy who runs it had shows on the History and Nat Geo channels.

Here is their WEBSITE: Worth the short walk, usually there is a Pirate outside. https://piratestreasuremuseum.com/ PS....if you think it is too expensive at least visit. The shop is free and has a lot of artifacts. Edited January 10, 2019 by bigsky109

We have nothing major planned for St. Thomas and this might be worth a stop, but I'm trying to get an idea of the time commitment.

Walk through the port area.....exit through the gate to the port area. It should be almost across the street from that area. Their website gives a lot better information than I have and it also shows the from of the building. This LINK might help with directions: RIGHT HERE Edited January 10, 2019 by bigsky109

We're planning on doing the Sky Ride and since this is close by thought we might stop here.
bigsky109 Posted January 10, 2019 #13 Share Posted January 10, 2019 Not sure about the museum, we never did the entire tour. We just did the gift shop which you shouldn't miss. Lots of stuff in there to see and do. Found my pirate hat with dreads there. Fun hat to wear on the ship.
mompells Posted April 1, 2019 #14 Share Posted April 1, 2019 Can you walk to the Paradise Point Tram from the cruise port, or do we need to take a taxi?
Ms411 Posted April 1, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 1, 2019 There are 2 ports. You can't walk from Royal Caribbean's port but you can from the other port.

mets123 Posted April 9, 2019 #17 Share Posted April 9, 2019 Epic docks at Havensite(sp?). Tram is a block away or so, depending on what slip you are in.
phabric Posted May 11, 2019 #18 Share Posted May 11, 2019 (edited) We are on Celebrity Equinox. I think Celebrity uses Crown dock (no sure the proper name)? Is this dock in walking distance to the tram? Edited May 11, 2019 by phabric
blue_water Posted May 11, 2019 #19 Share Posted May 11, 2019 You are correct (Crown Bay) so it is a taxi...

To be clear to others, it is a 10 - 20 min walk (depending on where your ship is) to the tram station from the Havensight dock where your Carnival ship docks, a taxi from Crown Bay...
