casino absolutely open

We’re on day 1 of Bora Bota. The 4x4 tour was great. We are on the 11 day. Fakarava Blue Lagoon was wonderful. Rangiroa we just did the glass bottom boat and actually had a good time. Tahaa was the vanilla and pearl farm, very nice. Raitea we did squat. Only three days left. Weather is still amazing.

If i were more relaxed I’d be a puddle.

Hello Milepig

Hope you had a wonderful cruise!  We're travelling to French Polynesia in April on the Maasdam, and I'm trying to research the best things to do in the various ports we're visiting.  Can you provide any more information on the trips you did and whether they were ship's excursions or did you book local operators?

Thanks for any help you can provide 🙂

Josette

We had cappuccino and lattes on Wind Spirit on Nov/Dec cruise in Veranda and Amphora and honestly they were just OK. Had them once or twice and gave up and just ordered the coffee. The coffee is on the bland side too imho,  perfectly fine, just not tasty.

Josette,

I don't know if you're interested but I wrote an extensive review of our Wind Spirit cruise including shore excursions. We are snorkelers so they all are water based excursions if you are interested.

I am indeed most interested!  How do I find your review?

Just an update on specialty coffee, at least on my cruise.  Got off Star Pride Dec 15.  There were no specialty coffees available in the Yacht Club.  Just a hot plate with a carafe of regular coffee and one of decaf.

The picture is hard to place but it doesn’t look like the Yacht Club, and looks a bit like the lounge. This is on the top deck behind the star bar, right. When you enter and take a hard right there should be a serving area with a bunch of smoothies, sandwiches, etc. along with a person operating a big coffee machine. Is that gone, or just not in operation?

This is the Yacht Club on Star Pride this December.  No one there most of the time, no specialty drinks, no smoothies.

No big “coffee machine.”

There was food in the display cases (very dry cupcakes, sandwiches and other pastries) in the late afternoon, with someone there to serve them.

Well, that stinks. I wonder what's up. The person making coffee was very popular with the early morning crowd.

There was a cappuccino/espresso machine in the back. There was a sever behind the counter and you had to ask him to make it for you. I was on Star Pride Dec. 1-8 and I had a cappuccino every morning. My husband went up to the Yacht Club, had it made, and brought it back to the cabin for me. If you wanted a flavored cappuccino there were a few bottles of syrups on the shelf on the wall the you could ask for.
