If you can't manage to find and organize a tour then just do your own thing with a couple of mates by taxi.

Church Road Winery and Mission Estate Winery, also in Church Road, are just walking distance apart.  There is also The Urban Winery just down the road from the port at Ahuriri.

A free shuttle from the ship will drop you at the Visitor Information centre in Napier. There will reps there for a variety of wine tours and you're almost guaranteed that all others on any tour you choose will be cruisers.

We went to Abbey Cellars on one of those tours, best wines of the tours we did in our opinion 🙂
