Cruise departs at 9pm?

Sailing on Carnival and my cruise leaves at 9pm. It’s too early to check it, but I was wondering what time boarding starts? My previous cruised have left at 4pm and I was able to get on the ship at 11:30.

If a 9pm departure is normal for this itinerary you can probably get the answer on the Carnival board at

If it appears to be a one-off you need the answer from the cruise line. It may be because the ship is scheduled to port late in the day, in which case disembarkation of the returning passengers, preparation of the ship, and boarding will all be later than usual.

So if you get to the port at 11.30 and the ship is still on its way you're going to have a long and boring and frustrating wait

I have had some late evening departures and check in was still the usual 11.30am - 4pm. I have also had an Overnight stay first off and check in was still 11.30am - 4pm. It should be on your documentation (when you get it) but it would be best to check with the cruise line directly.

Check the schedule for the prior cruise to see when it arrives at the port if it us early morning that boarding will start 11 or noon. 

 

Note: Carnival sells Faster to the Fun. It includes preferred boarding. I think they delay anyone without priority boarding.
