TravelScholar Posted December 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2018 Has anyone done the Chef's Table as a party of one? I'm thinking of trying it on the Sensation this weekend if it's still available, but I'm cruising with my 7 year old daughter, so it would only be me if I decide to go. Does anyone have the current menu?
Rare sid_9169 Posted December 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 25, 2018 Yes, I've done the Chef's Table solo a few times, it's a great experience... I don't have a photo of the new menu, but there are pictures and descriptions of every item in my Vista Live Review... I will post a link... bury me at sea Posted December 26, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2018 The several Chef's Tables I have attended used formal seating, with couples or small groups seated across from each other. This arrangement is much more conducive to general table conversation, rather than each couple and group talking only among themselves. If you're an adventurous diner I'd say do it. I think of it more as an excursion than a meal.
retiring soon Posted December 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2018 Hi all! TravelScholar ~ I've done it solo on Vista & a NCL ship with no problem. It's a great experience. I've also done it with a friend once & my sister on RCL. Had booked it on Princess but got such a sore throat I cancelled the reservation. I'm not a wine drinker but still felt it worthwhile. ~ Jo ~ 😊
naxer Posted December 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 26, 2018 I did it solo and it was a lot of fun, not to mention the best dinner conversation I've ever had on a cruise.
