We made Dallman Bay in the late afternoon of the 27th

Why we live in South Florida . This was shot yesterday at where I learned to surf - South Beach . This was also the cruise ship that youngest daughter was married on .

The weather at the Cape was not very good and the Captain was making the decision of circling the Cape or making the run to Antarctica sooner than scheduled .

Thanks , we felt that the extra 1/2 day of good weather made up for the Cape , Ushuaia and Glacier Alley .

We had made dinner reservations for Rudi's Sel De Mer  at The Pinnacle Grill for that evening in advance thinking that it would be a night at sea . But with the good weather we decided to have dinner delivered and keep taking photos . The Pinnacle Grill in the Zaandam has no windows unlike the Eurodam's where we enjoyed window seating .

We had a visit from some birds earlier in the afternoon and it seemed like they were sitting still or flying fast ! Maybe they didn't want to wind up on somebody's dinner plate .

We’ve done midsummer cruises in Norway twice in the last four years, and each time we had 24 hrs sun for three days!  Thankfully the blackout curtains were extremely effective!

Wow , I had heard about the Midnight Sun but never experienced it . The curtains really did help a lot .

With pictures as good as yours are, I can only imagine how incredible the views must be in person! Maybe some day......

It's a great place but the Antarctica experience doubles the price of the Santiago - Buenos Aries trip . We did enjoy our pre cruise in Patagonia stay more than our BA stay .

Thanks Nancy . It hard to capture with a camera what all that you see with your eyes . The sounds , smells and the feeling of the cold we remember through the videos and photos .

The night was a little bumpy as we had left Dallman Bay and the morning was a bit overcast
