Tendering into Cannes in Oct. 2019. Looking for ideas. Any good tours anyone can suggest? Prefer not a ship

Use the SEARCH tool, with the word 'cannes' and you'll find .numerous threads, mostly past trip reports that have suggestions for tours and DIY options.

After reading quite a few trip reports we decided that Cannes would be an easy DIY destination, so we are taking the train to Nice and possibly Monaco if we have the time. 

(I also bought Rick Steves book " Mediterranean cruise ports" as a resource).

We did a excursion arranged by one of our Roll Call members when we stopped at Cannes in 2011:  we visited Eze and St. Paul de Vence, a mountain town.  Drove through Monaco and got a bit of a tour that way, but did not stop.  On a later (2014) to the western Med (Villefranche) we drove through Nice on an excursion to St. Paul de Vence.  Our tour guide was from Nice so she pointed things out as we drove through there.

In 2012 we rented a car and drove to Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze Village and Nice. We had time to walk around everywhere and visit the Chagall Museum and walk the Promenade. Easy, peasy and inexpensive. We're renting a car again this May and heading to Antibes and Saint Paul de Vence.
