Port or Starboard Eclipse Honolulu to Vancouver?

I booked a starboard side cabin for this itinerary but now I'm thinking port side may offer better views. My only concern is that port side deck 5  is smoking correct?  That would ruin my trip.  I have cabin 8252 booked.

Smoking areas : Deck 5 port side,  deck 12 mid ship  port side, mast Bar deck 14 starboard side, sunset bar deck 15 aft port side.

Well, for most of the way, your view will be the same on both sides 🙂

 

Really no way to predict which direction you will dock at each port if that is your concern.

Half of the cruise is 5 days at sea, Do you want to see on your Veranda the sunrise or sunset?

Why not do a B2B and you can be in the same cabin and experience both sides? That's what I'm doing.

I am more concerned about traveling between the Islands .  Not concerned about the port.

I am assuming I will be asleep for sunrise and probably at the martini bar at sunset!

Unfortunately there is a little thing called work that gets in the way of doing that.☹️

I would choose starboard side.

From Honolulu to Maui and to Kailua-Kona the Islands will be at port side, but from Kailua-Kona to Hilo The Big Island will be at Starboard side.

We also are in the Eclipse next Sept/Oct B2B in the same cabin, starboard side deck 7, so no worries.
