We always start off with the Funship Special.  It's the drink that lets us know we are on our cruise.  I can't have more than two because they are so sweet.  We usually ask for a rum floater to go with it.  After that, my favorite drink is a dirty martini with blue cheese olives at Alchemy Bar.

Hmmm Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives .... yummy!

My favorite kick off is the Frog's Island Iced Tea. So good. So strong. So good!

I can drink with the best of them. My stomach does like the sugar & juice for long so I try to stay away from the fridge fru drinks. But I can't turn down a FIIT... or a Punchliner. My kryptonite.

This is one of my favorites on Carnival!  I'm like you hate that sweet ,sugary stuff ,no "kiss on the lips " for me! Usually a Funship Special , The day we embark. I mean when those coming by on a tray when you just get on the ship...LOAD ME UP!!!  Oh, and love me a Mojito! Get friendly with a fellow bartender, you'll get a fabulous drink everytime!

I always get a Funship (or 2 or 3).  I also really like the Long Island Iced Teas.  On our last cruise, I gave the Alchemy Bar a try, and loved it.  Unfortunately, I am the only person in our room who drinks, so no Cheers program for me.  Also unfortunate last year in that I felt that I HAD to finish one of the drinks on the menu called the Quick Fix because I bought each drink individually.  I was NOT prepared for the strong absinthe taste.  Never again.

Agree!  I always start my cruise with a FunShip!! It just seems fitting.   Always starts the cruise off right!

My favorite "pretty" drink is the Twilight Zone. It's my first drink in the Atrium bar every cruise, and people always come up and ask, "What is THAT"?  lol

Indeed, I have been asked about it every time I order it too!

Pineapple chipotle Martini it is awesome!!

Yep, we even went out of our way to find Monin Chipotle Pineapple syrup after our first cruise with one of those.

I don't think we've cruised enough to have a pattern yet.  Last cruise we grabbed a Mai Tai walking though the lobby just as we boarded because I told a co-worker I would have one in his honor - it's his favorite drink.

I think (!) that once I got to Lido I have now twice started with the BlueIguana signature Blue's Patron Margarita that is right at the top of the BlueIguana Bar menu.

But honestly, I'm "on vacation" as long as it is a mixed drink of one ore more hard liquors, fruit juice, and maybe a liqueur, i.e. what one might call a "fruity cocktail" (though the original definition required the use of bitters, otherwise it was just a "sling").

My day 1 first cruise drink is the Hurricane Wave. I got it first at the casino bar, then also the Rum bar.

Its frozen half hurricane (various rums and passion fruit) and half banana daquiri.

And the day 2 hangover drink is the Bloody Caesar 🙂

Anyone remember the Yellow Bird?

I remember it from my 2010 and earlier cruises, it'd be in the drink of the day rotation. I didn't see it offered anywhere on our recent cruises, but I bet if you ask, they can still make it.

We go for a Blue's Patron Margarita or a Miami Vice to start and then any of a dozen concoctions from Alchemy the rest of the evening! Anyone remember the Yellow Bird? I remember that one on my first couple of cruises but haven't seen it in a long time!

Yeah, we didn't cruise between 2010 and 2017 and when we returned, I was expecting the same DOTDs. But, except for the Fun Ship on the first day, I don't remember seeing any of the old line up offered as a DOTD. I'll have to ask if they can make me one on our upcoming cruise, IIRC, the Yellowbird was one of the ones I actually liked!
