I had been reading that it is necessary to make reservations to see the shows in the theater on Seaside....Or maybe they were not talking about Seaside?  We are sailing on Seaside next week, and I want to know how and when to do it if necessary.  I was just on the MSC website and it stated that was only necessary on Armonia, Lirica, Opera and Sinfonia require this.  So, I am confused.  EM

i would if I was you the theatre in the Seaside does not seem as big as some of the other MSC ships I have been on and if you want to see one at a particular time it may be full for the final night one then yes pre book and any of the others then you can book your theatre place through the interactive TV in your room

Yes you book the shows. There are screens all around the ship that allow you to do this. You just select the day and time and book your place. They scan your cruise card when entering the theatre. At about 10 min before the show starts they let others enter to fill the know show seats.

As a warning I have heard they only allow you to book a show once. So if you reserve a space and decide not to show you can't book it again.

It is very easy. Also you can cancel your reservation and book another night if you want.

You can also book the shows on the MSC app,  It's very easy.

One night we were late getting done with dinner and got there right at show time.

We were not allowed in as they said it was full and we did have reservations.

Like a previous poster mentioned They start letting non reservation guest in about 10minutes before the show starts.

PS it worked out great My DW stopped by the casino since the show was sold out and hit a slot for a cool $1,500!!!!!

Plenty of screens around to book on.  Can book on MSC for me App or via Cabin TV.  Book the shows on your first day and if need to change times  or csncel can easily do during the week. The Skywalker show (Michael Jackson)  was fully reserved for all 3 Friday night shows by thursday morning. Was very very good.

I will add one more point about using the MSC and Me APP (maybe also applies to reserving via other means). When booking via the APP one person can make reservations for others at the same time (for example cabin partner and family). However, the other people will disappear from the booking's persons APP and then be shown on the other person(s) APP. Therefore, both people must bring their phones or device with MSC & Me to the theater to have a "ticket" that can be scanned that allows each member of the party to enter.
