superduper123 Posted February 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2019 (edited) I am looking for feedback from those who have used the spa. I am particularly interested in the "medi" spa services, such as botox, fillers, acupuncture, etc (not hair and nails.) I am curious why someone would choose to do this on a cruise? Is there a benefit? Is it less expensive, or better quality treatment than you could get locally? 1025cruise Posted February 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2019 Personally, I wouldn't do any of those services on a cruise. While I'm sure they have vetted the practitioners, something like that would be done at home for me.

I would not consider a medical type of spa service on a cruise. While I am sure they are somewhat vetted, I have heard enough horror stories about botox injections here in the States going awry, I would want to do my own research on said doctor which is impossible for a cruise based practioner. The same applies to accupuncture (except I haven't heard any issues in the states). Just clear on the benefits. In general spa services are more expensive onboard ship, so that is last nail in coffin for me to even consider it onboard a ship.
