captainron Posted February 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2019 MS Astoria will start cruising from Puerto Penasco, Mexico in Dec 2019 on a series of 11 day cruises around the Sea of Cortez. At this point of time reservations are open and appear to be booking well. (Note MS Astoria not MS Magellan as previously seen in the news} My question is...do we have any information on this cruise port/terminal, parking, security, etc? There doesn’t appear to have been much progress in the construction of the port other than part of the breakwater and no sign or plans visible as of yet. The long term plans for this new port are to service Arizona, Southern California and to establish the first home port in Mexico. Does anybody have any info? Thanks and... Ciao for now!!! You should post this under "Cruise and Maritime Voyages" which is the English-based cruise line who operates this vessel. That line also has another ship (Magellan) that is now spending some time doing Mexican cruises (from Mexican ports). But this company has absolutely nothing to do with Princess Cruises. Mike45LC Posted February 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2019 Guys, unless the thread was moved, this is the Mex Riviera Forum, not the Princess forum!

In fact the thread was moved from the Princess forum where I first saw it. Cruise Critic never says that a thread was moved from a different forum so it appears confusing when you see comments as you did above suggesting it be moved. The OP then started a second thread on Cruise & Maritime.
