taxi or uber

Hi, we plan on doing our own sightseeing in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Which would be easier or use taxis or uber?

I know uber would be charged directly to our account, do taxi's take plastic or cash?

Uber is not available in all cities in Europe- you’ll need to check availability in the cities you are visiting closer to your cruise.
Many governments in Europe have taken action against the Uber ride-sharing app. Uber is banned in Denmark, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria and is facing suspension in Finland, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.

taxi’s in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen does accept credit cards. Do not know for sure for Amsterdam.

You might want to get information ahead of the trip on the rates of the Taxis though. This would help you prepare ahead properly.

Can you rent a car? Does any of you drive, coz that would be the most convenient. Taxi may turn out expensive, and I don't think Uber is available tin those cities. For Amsterdam you can rent bicycles! Have fun!

Check out the public transit systems in these cities. Most places in Europe have great public transit. You may also be able to take walking tours.
