A Day in NYC Post-Cruise

Following a June cruise, we will have a day in New York City.  Our flight out of LGA isn't until 8pm (Friday evening).  Should we be okay if we hire a car to pick us up at Schwartz Luggage Storage at 4pm?  Does that leave plenty of time for airport arrival?  

 

Our tentative plan is to hire a car to pick us up at Cape Liberty around 9 am and drop off at Schwartz.  Sightsee until 4pm, and then to airport. 

 

For one trip years ago, we were stuck in Atlanta accident traffic on the way to the airport and checked in 5 minutes before the cutoff.  I really don't like to cut it that close, so I prefer to arrive a little early!!!

4 pm should be fine. shouldn't take more than an hour to get to laguardia

For the OPs car hire I suggest either Dial 7 or Carmel car services.

You probably will have plenty of time. But, Friday’s in June is Hamptons exodus. There are no guarantees you’ll get to LaG in an hour. Plus there is also the continuing construction.
