Milkshakes on Allure

We are on the Allure this June and have the Deluxe and Refreshment drink packages. While researching on this forum it seems the answer to my question varies by ship. So, has anyone been on the Allure lately and received free milkshakes in Johnny Rockets with their refreshment or deluxe alcohol package? Also, we have RCCL soda mugs from previous cruise. Can we just bring those and use them instead of getting two more cups on this cruise? Thanks in advance!

I am also interested in the milkshake question. I just recently added the refreshment package and had to call in to do it. The young lady I spoke to said you do get free JR milkshakes with the package when you purchase food. That seems to be the contoversy Ive read on these boards, some people got just free milkshakes without ordering food and others said they were denied.

Don't know about the milkshakes, but the chip in the Coke cup deactivates so you can't use them again.

Stupid question but how are they activated and deactivated. Someone had to ask.

There is a RFID chip in the base of the cup.  When first used the cup gets activated and expires 10-14 days later.

So I could give the cup to someone who is boarding the ship as I am getting off and it would work for their cruise. Is that a correct assumption?

Yes, it would work for part or most of their cruise.

Official policy since earlier this year is definitely milkshakes at JR only included with food purchases.  I think last year more were able to get it without eating there, and I’m sure the odd person is still able to get them, but mostly now I’d say you’ll be declined without eating in.

If you have the coupon for a free milkshake. You do not need to purchase anything to receive it. Not talking about purchasing the package. One crew member told me to get it. He buys them all the time. However his price was only $%2.00.

All of the kiddos have the Refreshment Package.  We were able to get it for $17.00 per day.  How do you get the coupons?

I do not remember. We had it on our Harmony Feb 2018 sailing and stupid us, never used it. If you are using a cruise specialist, ask them for it. We are only Platinum so I do not think it was because of the Crown & Anchor. Maybe it was a perk offered by Royal. Wish I had a positive answer. maybe someone else who received a free Milkshake will have the answer for you. No matter. 70 cruises and it was one of the best. I am sure you will all enjoy it and the time will just fly by.

I have seen those coupon books in the past.  Typically, there isn't much that I need in the booklets.

Princess offers the savings book a lot. I just email my cruise specialist and I am having her check on the milkshake offer.
