Dani24 Posted March 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2019 When we booked our upcoming cruise I kept a spreadsheet of prices for various categories, OBC/perks (and their values), mapped to specific categories/staterooms. We booked in January on the promotion with the free OBC and free specialty dining. I was curious how the two stacked up, so I did a comparison below. When I compare these new rates to what I had logged before, these rates are mostly a bit higher. All of the comparisons, except the last one, are even selecting the exact same room number. An ME category Mini Suite would cost us $320 more (including factoring in perks). A B4 category Premium Balcony would cost $176 more. A BA category balcony it would be $180 more. But for a BB category balcony this promotion would be $120 less.

Astro Flyer Posted March 5, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted March 5, 2019 There’s nothing for me & maybe this sale is an effort to generate bookings before final payment which had even bigger fare reductions on my cruises. Cruise fares after final payment are often more than the 40% off their original rack rates they’re promoting but it could be beneficial for some seeking a Spring or Summer 2019 on select sailings.
