Carnival Horizon vs RCCL Symphony with 2 kids (7 &9)

Hello! I will be taking my children on a cruise for their Spring Break. We have sailed Disney in the past but would like to try a new cruise line this year. 

I would like your feedback if you've traveled on either ship with children. Thank you so much.

I think your kids will be happy with either!  Is there a difference in itinerary?  I think they will enjoy the kid's clubs MUCH more on either Carnival or RCI than on Disney!

I’ve cruised Vista (sister to Horizon) and recently on Symphony.  No question. Symphony is the far better choice.

Thank you for your replies. I do like the itinerary on both ships; our initial choice was the Symphony however the price for the cabin is $1,500.00 more than the Horizon. Thank you again!

with that kind of difference in price, I'd wait for RCI's Kids Sail Free sale and buy the cruise then. 3 of us (8 yo DS) are sailing on the Allure for $1,600 this month. I bought it on a KSF sale last year.

If not able to get a decent price on the Symphony, I'd definitely go on Horizon. I'd save the $1,500 for a different cruise.

I agree with above post.  Save the money for another cruise and go with Horizon
