Fourth of July

We will be on an 8 day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Horizon for the fourth of July.  Does anyone know if Carnival does anything special for Independence day? Fireworks?

We have cruised over July 4th the last two years. They decorate the ship to some degree and have 4th related activities, but no fireworks.

July 4th is an American holiday.

A cruise is an international vacation with people from all over the world.

 

They may have a party but no fireworks or anything like that. They don't do anything different (okay, maybe a little more) than what they would do for Canada Day, Mexican Independence Day, or Boxing day.

 

besides, you really want fireworks on a ship? Heck, a hair dryer is deemed dangerous.

No fireworks. On carnival website it says this:

Independence Day/4th of July
When:  July 4
Come celebrate the red, white and blue with us today! We aren’t just talking about Carnival… we are talking about the good ol’ USA! We are having a party in honor of Independence Day, with music, line dancing, drink specials, an all American buffet and much more.

Uhhh, Disney does fireworks at least once a cruise....

Ive been on other cruise ships on the 4th that had fireworks. So, the question really didn't seem that implausible to me.

Carnival always celebrates American only holidays on their ships. Some holidays they do a lot more than other holidays, but they always do something. Just a few weeks ago we were on a cruise on Washington’s Birthday and they hung an American flag in the lobby that Monday.

Last year we were at key west.  The captain stayed close to shore so could see the local fire works.

We were on the Triumph on July 4th in 2017. They had a themed deck party, a beauty contest and a few other things. As we cruised down the Mississippi River, lots of the towns along the way were doing fireworks.

Was loyal to Disney for years and yes they do have Fireworks on Pirate night but...imho we sailed  on the Breeze on the 4th of July and had a blast! Streamers, glow sticks, light up drinks, dance party and fireworks playing on the dive-in movie screen. We are sailing on the 4th again this year on Carnival again!  So excited!
