Park Café (Solarium) afternoon snacks... A bit hard to see with the reflection of daylight, but they had different salads, a great punpkin soup, and other snack foods, including Kümmelweck!

Thanks for taking us along and for the great review so far. My hubby I are will be sailing Brilliance in December (without the kids,) on a rare 7 day itinerary and I cannot wait. Brilliance looks like such a great ship despite her age. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! Oh, I totally agree about that Char Grilled Palm Sugar Chicken for lunch in the MDR. I ordered that on Oasis for lunch and it was amazing!

You've totally made my day with these 3 images.

1 - Café Latte-tudes:  I see the Illy logo for brand of coffee, I like

2 - Park Café:  Kümmelwecks, and I chose our room location in order to be close to the Solarium as it is our favorite hangout spot, and Park café is right next to it. 🙂

3 - Park Café:  LAYS CHIPS... go so great with the Kümmelweck!

Just bough our flight tickets last week... 144 days to go for our Baltic cruise on Brilliance.

Thanks

dp

Glad to help!  Here are the prices for the coffee to help your budget too.... unless you get the drinks package.  😁

Some of the Park Café options for breakfast: (Poor quality picture - I think my phone had one too many gravity attacks)

Thanks for the Menu.  But as you anticipated... we always cruise with a DPB... I could not afford to cruise without one 😉

Also, do you favor going to Park Café for breakfast over the Windjammer?  How early does Park Café open?  On Anthem, the Solarium Bistro had great breakfast options but it opened too late for my first breakfast, so I would often have my first breakfast in Two70 if open, then later, join my family for my second breakfast in Solarium Bistro as it only opened at 9.

We are on the 7 day in November and I'm counting down the days. Loving any review I can read before then.

When we sailed into Tampa Bay we asked the crew what time we passed under the Sunshine Skyway bridge and I got some great photos of the bridge lit up at night.

I did the same thing a few years ago.  It is fun to go under the bridge on embarkation day with a couple hundred other people, but being on deck with only two other people in silence and darkness is a totally different experience.

We are enjoying following you on the Brilliance.  It sounds like a fabulous time.  We would like to do a back to back cruise in the future.

We have never been on this size ship before. We have mostly done the Freedom class (Freedom - 2 times and Independence - 2 times), and Oasis.  I love your pictures and we are excited to get a sneak peek of the Brilliance.

We are sailing on her for a 10 day trip in the British Isles on June 12, 2020, departing from Amsterdam, and traveling to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France. That's a long way off, but we are on Independence in 7 weeks, to help pass the time.

Thank you for the posts.

Park Café is already open at 6 a.m.  So, it is a great option for early risers.  They also have fruit, pastries, cereal, etc.  On this ship, I prefer early breakfast in the Windjammer to avoid the crowds.  Since Park Café is inside the Solarium, our son is not allowed in there.  So, we go to the aft outside seating of the Windjammer.  🙂

We returned from breakfast to our room nicely cleaned and made up, with a surprise on the balcony...

It is not quite a lounger, but at least MUCH more comfortable than the chairs that are provided on the balcony.  When you are short and your feet don’t touch the ground on the regular balcony chairs, there is just no way to relax.  Now I have this nice chair to enjoy our balcony!  It came just in time, as this cruise has been markedly more crowded and rowdy... more about that later.  The way I secured the chair was by asking Sue, our concierge in the diamond loung,  if they have any old or semi-broken loungers stored somewhere.  She made a phone call and this was the result:

Bliss!  An amaretto sour ($10.80 with gratuity, for those who don’t buy the package) on my newly found lounging chair:

Top tier event:

This was held in The Colony Club again.  Unfortunately, they did not serve Blue Hawaiian again.  It was still a very special treat!  We truly appreciate the Crown and Anchor benefits.

Lunch in the MDR:

The majority of our afternoon was spent on the balcony and taking a nap.  These late night parties in the atrium are getting to us. 😉 They are loud and late.

Oh, to have a wake view again!  Would love to try an aft balcony on this ship!

We decided to skip the big dress up, since we did not care too much for the dinner options on formal night.  There certainly are some good options, but we just wanted something lighter without having to dress up too much.

All “dressed up” for the Windjammer:
