Yes it's correct - $12 is the limit outside of YC.    We were on seaside 3 weeks ago, and it was explained the first day when the butler introduced himself.  Compared to last summer, we couldn't notice any difference.

Not sure which restaurant you are in, but for example in butchers cut the $12 limit covered 10 out of 12 of the wines available by the glass.  The waiter was also happy to grab some bottles from the YC that were not on the menu.

We had a great time - sorry to hear you're not having so much fun.

Yes, that sounds about correct. On our recent Preziosa cruise in YC, the drinks outwith were up to 10 euro which approximates 12 USD. Essentially all drinks, except the Connoisseur range are included. That said, we were able to obtain a couple of the lower end Connoisseur drinks in bars outwith YC e.g. Macallan Oak single malt which was listed at 11 euro.

There is still much confusion regarding “drinks” packages. Previous package when booking YC was Deluxe. After November, MSC revamp of programs.

We had dinner in Butchers Cut.  When we selected wine by the glass, 3 times told they do not have those wines. Finally settled on Malbec . It was fine. Asked for champagne with Appetizer

. Given something with no bubbles, so not sure if opened yesterday and just chilled or what. I am not one to make a fuss over something like this.

We understood that our current cruise booked with deluxe package should now be Premium Plus.  In practice however, this has been an issue. Within the YC, no problem getting drinks requested , expecially “real” champagne.  One waiter asked if we meant Prosecco. No, champagne, thank you.  do you want “real” 🥂?

Yes, please. Received NF after that.

Outside YC, not a chance. Tried the Champagne Bar and asked for “French Champagne “.  After scanning card, told not possible. Offered something they consider equitable. Fine, thank you. Not good.  OK, data point.

All other drinks and cocktails are served with smile , inside YC.

Thsy've changed drink policies across the board. I'm booking the Meriviglia for 12/20 in Fanastica and there are NO drink packages of any kind . Fantastica used to get some kind of package, be it vouchers or the "Easy", but no more, at least not on my cruise. o purchase the premium pkg would be over $800.00 for both of us.

On Divina a few weeks ago it was no problem to get Champagne in the Divina bar but I had to talk to the Yacht Club manager, who talked to the bar manager, to get it in the Top Sail Lounge.

To clarify...it was not actually me on the 3/16 cruise but a friend/client.  ( I had been booked but had to cancel and now booked 10/5 sailing)

Overall they ended up enjoying themselves...just a little confusion on some of the changes and some glitches they personally experienced.
