Mainly replace engine hardware. The Caribbean Princess has had issues with the electric motors that propel the ship limiting its maximum speed. Armonk27 Posted March 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2019 Just got off the ship and there were no troubles. The bartender told us that they were also replacing some carpets and woodwork. We got into most ports early, and had no traouble on one rough day. AC worked very well.

Haven't read into it. The main issue is...... They are cutting a hole in the side of the ship to replace some large machinery which caused propulsion problems for the last 2 years. I doubt anything will be done with AC issues. We have seen this on pretty much every Princess ship we have sailed.
