Softness of beds

Hello, we are sailing on the Summitt in a couple days. How soft will the bed be?  Are egg crate mattresses available?  I need a super soft bed due to a hip replacement. 

 

Also do they have light light blankets or is it those heavy comforters?

Be prepared to request egg crate topper or you may want to consider bringing your own if theirs is not sufficient for your comfort.

 

They may be able to get you a light blanket or maybe an extra sheet will work?

My husband must have been lucky with his hip replacement.   Took away all of the pain on that side and he likes a firm mattress.    Sorry your surgery causes pain.

IME, X's mattresses are firm to extra firm, as I like them.

 

So, I presume that for the situation as was presented and desire for a 'super soft bed', it will not be sufficient for their comfort, unless you believe otherwise?

Yes, egg crate mattress toppers are available on the ships, but the supply on any ship may be limited as many people request them.

I would suggest contacting Special Needs in advance to request one or two (or however many you think you will need).

They do have light blankets, or at least they seem light to me.  But you may just want to use an extra top sheet instead.
