Re-VISTA-ing one of our new favorites this sumer

Recommended Posts

🤣

88 days till we're back on the Vista, but heck who's counting, right? I have to get through the next 50 days until the end of school first! I know our room (as of this moment anyway) is on deck 2 and is an interior, which I'm totally fine with. I'm looking forward to some things I missed on our Spring Break cruise, like the Studio 54 show and doing the SkyRide (the day I wanted to do it it was too windy or something.).

Thanks.

Right now I'm trying like crazy to convince Hubs that we NEEEEEED (ok...I NEEEEEEEED) to go to Rose Hall because it's all historical and cool and stuff and I am SUCH a history nerd. It wouldn't be the first time he's been dragged on something like that because I'm nerding out about it. We've DONE all the stuff in Jamaica (we've been there several times) he's wanted to do--Dunn's River Falls, ziplining, river tubing. Now it's MY turn. 😄

Good for you- hang in for what you want to do for a change!

There isn't much in Montego Bay we want to do on our June Vista cruise so we'll probably stay onboard and enjoy the quiet! Hopefully the Sky Ride will be open and we can take advantage of that!

I meant to reply sooner, Shaded Lady, but the last week or so has just been ugh..overwhelming. Work, school, STAAR testing for my kiddo..it's just been crazy around here.

I'm always interested in historical stuff but we almost never get to do that kind of thing since my husband and kiddo aren't interested in it (although my son DID end up choosing to do a report on Jamaica for his World Geography class because we've been there a few times now :-D).

The Vista is my favorite(in my best Richard Christy voice) i got to sail the Vista a 2nd time last year, April and Sept, and really enjoyed seeing familiar faces! I like the new features and want to try the Horizon. We did the Blue Hole in Jamaica, and i really would like to go back there.

Be sure to do both sides of the sky ride because each one gives a different view.

OP, I can relate when you say “get through the next 50 days until the end of school.”  We’ve got less than 30 school days and I’m not sure I’ll get it all done  also have a bachelorette trip to Nashville and my only niece’s wedding before the cruise. Much to look forward to along with working full time plus being a full time grad student. I will definitely be ready to celebrate and relax when cruise time comes. When is your cruise?

This has been a rough week for me so far...I have fibromyalgia as well as some other stuff going on that is really just kicking my booty this week. School is ALMOST out...a little over a month left now I think (May 22 is the last day) and I AM SO READY for school to be out.

We're not actually cruising til the last week of June but OMG I am so ready for this. Summer can not get here fast enough.

School is FINALLY out and this trip cannot come SOON enough for me. I've been having a ROUGH time lately with the world's worst side dude--Depression. His bestie who's always hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride trying to holla at me, Anxiety, has been hanging around too and making things more difficult. Add on top of that my having to go find a rheumatologist (I have fibromyalgia and my current dr is fed the eff up with it, which I don't blame her at all so I have to find a specialist) AND having to probably look for an endocrinologist (my thyroid is acting all crappy. Because of course it is), I can't wait to just get away and forget all this stuff is going on though of course I KNOW it's going to be waiting for me when I get back.

History teacher here - Rose Hall is worth the time!

We will sometimes split up on excursions, with my husband doing his thing and me doing mine! The funniest one was when he went to a cooking demo and I went zip lining! It's more fun to nerd out when you can just enjoy it!

The thing he (and tbh, me too) have a thing about not splitting up in foreign countries. I'm too much of a chicken (even if I would be on a group excursion and not on my own) to go somewhere without him because if it's GOING to happen, it probably WILL happen and it usually happens to ME.
