OP - if you tell us more information about your desire to exchange money, we might be able to provide some creative ways for you to accomplish that task, or otherwise "use up" your CDN$ prior to boarding a cruise in Canada.

Are you staying in a hotel in Canada prior to the cruise? Do you plan to return to Canada in the foreseeable future? Have you explored currency exchange options in Ohio after your return home? How much CDN$ do you anticipate having to exchange? And a strange question, do you happen to have a Starbucks card?

I've found that I get best exchange rates by withdrawal from ATM's using a credit card that rebates ATM fees and don't charge a foreign transaction free.   In reality about 90+% of purchases are made using credit cards.

I've exchanged money on Norwegian and Royal and have gotten better rates than at home with my bank.  First time on Celebrity next month so I don't know how they do it but I've been pleasantly surprised on other lines.

Credit cards work fine for most ports.   In Cuba (Celebrity doesn’t go there), you need cash if you are from the U.S.    If you exchange U.S. currency you are charged an extra fee.   It is best to use your Euros, Canadian Dollars or pounds to get the best exchange rate.    Azamara and RCL do go to Cuba, maybe Celebrity will go in the future.
