I haven't sailed with Carnival ever and will be going on the Vista soon.  Can you tell me your favorite part of why you liked the Vista ship?  Food?  Show?  Bar?

How is the Serenity adult area?

Thanks in advance.

If the Violin trio (NewAge???) is still playing in Atrium Bar be sure to see them. The bartenders there were awesome also.

Food is so subjective it's hard to say,  we had pretty good meals. Steakhouse was very good.

Serenity was OK, we just like to jump in the pool to cool off so spent most days at aft pool. Although  technically not adult only , the adults on our cruise took over the pool. Minimal kids.

Achlemy Bar is a must, great drinks/bartenders.

My favorite parts of Vista are the Alchemy Bar and Red Frog Pub. The Havana area gets a lot of positive feedback, although I have never stayed in that area.  Shows are not enjoyable to watch due to the terrible design of the lounge where they perform all their shows.

The steakhouse is also very good as previously mentioned. The biggest challenge you will likely face is how crowded the ship feels, especially on sea days.  Staying in the Havana area helps alleviate this issue.

Thanks!  Do you have a favorite drink at either places?

I have read alot of reviews about the ship feeling crowded and the show areas not designed well.  I appreciate your feedback.

I've been on her sister, the Horizon, who is pretty much identical, with a few exceptions. I loved how modern she is! Don't miss the SkyRide (was closed for our sailing, unfortunately)! The Lanai is spectacular, especially with all those comfy chairs! I see in your signature that you've been on Harmony of the Seas. Having been on that ship as well, I will say that you will like the lunch better on the Vista as there are more complimentary options compared to Harmony.

For Alchemy, the cucumber drink is the best menu drink. I chose to ask for custom cocktails. "Vodka, fruity, no orange, not too sweet." Or " Rum, coconut, but not with pineapple". If you love black cherries, ask for the filthy cherries for garnish.

I think if you sit on the floor, then yeah. I'd agree with you. We found ourselves sitting in the upper balcony area, towards the middle if we could manage it (there weren't other people sitting there, that is) every night except for when they did Hasbro the Game Show and it wasn't too bad. Sitting up above is really the best place to see everything anyway, IMO.

I think one of my favorite parts of being on the Vista was the shows, tbh. They were all pretty good (the ones I saw anyway), especially "Flick" which I'd seen before (I forget which ship...Freedom I think? Or maybe the Magic?) and I LOVE.

Thank goodness...I wasn't a fan of Harmony.  I am so excited to try Carnival and the Vista!  Thank you!!!

As stated food is subjective , however we thought Pig's and Anchor was enjoyable. Hint: go as soon as you board for lunch it  wasn't that busy.

Many different opinions on Guy's Burgers too, it was a nice change of pace from the buffet. Double Cheeseburger with Bacon.

if you're a chocolate lover the "Deal Closer" at Achlemy is very, very good.

I had a great cruise on the Vista in February.  Ji Ji's is a must, very good food there,  you can also go there for lunch, no charge, it is very good as well.  If Matt Mitcham is still Cruise Director he is by far the best CD I have had.  String Trio Polaris was on the ship and was very good,  really enjoyed their music.  No matter a cruise is always a good time for me.  Enjoy.

We sailed the Vista when it was still in Miami, and I loved the Cuban band that played in the Havana club. Also, the food was mostly all very good to great. Never a boring moment. We went on the Triumph last April, and it seemed like the ship was dead after around 11 pm.

Good afternoon,  we did a 7 day cruise to the Jamaica, Cayman, and Cozumel and loved it. My wife and I decided to do some reviews of our experiences  are in the process of working on them...here is our Favorite Restaurant on the Vista.  We LOVED the Cucina Del Capitano Italian restaurant.  🙂

1. Redfrog pub -food -drinks- and fun vibe. (can make a dinner out of appetizers)

2. Havana area and band

3. string trio.

4. Deck 5 and ocean plaza, efficient for quick breakfast.

Dislike the amount of smoke in casino. worst volume smoke of any carnival ship IMHO.

Definitely! Matt is the best CD we have ever had.  He was very entertaining and seemed to never take breaks.  We saw him often at the adult comedy shows and all over the ship talking to people. He was there in the meeting place for FTTF and priority the last morning of the cruise and organized things very well.  I can't imagine a better CD.  Before we had him, I never paid much attention to CDs.  Now the bar has ben set high.  He's got a great sense of humor and always kept people entertained.

I agree.  The ship seemed very crowded to me.  The lines for pizza.....Even at 2 AM was crazy!!

I watched your video.  You had me at the garlic bread.  🙂  Wow!  I can't believe it's only 15.00.  Thank you for sharing.  And i actually found your review on the spa cabin by accident!  That cabin looks amazing.  Did you enjoy the thermal suites?

Garlic bread!!!  We had never been to a restaurant with freshly grated Parmesan that was sprinkled on the garlic bread I forgot to mention  that warm also.

The thermal suites were amazing, I only tried one though I called in the "lemon room" because  it was scented with lemon, and was designed to clear your sinuses.  Now we did  spent a lot of time on the heated lounge chairs those were very relaxing at the end of the day and before going to sleep, and don't feel ashamed if you nod off....I know I  didn't 😉.
