Would you know if there is some kind of transport from the ship up the long Cozumel dock? I have limited mobility. Thanks! I didn't see anybody being transported, but we left a little later with less people debarking.

fligster Posted April 27, 2019 Author #106 Share Posted April 27, 2019 We went to Paradise Beach today. As expected it was $15 each way for a taxi. We each paid $3 to get in and then Jen and Josh got the pass for the inflatables at $18 each for the day. It was pretty empty when we arrived a little after 10 (ships time) and got more crowded as the day went, but not overly so. Even though there were 5 ships in port (2 Carnival, 1 RCCL, 1 NCL, 1 MSC). Carnival Vista and Dream were at the international pier with us. We had a good time. Their pool is nice, the beach isn't the greatest for swimming. We didn't snorkel because the water wasn't very clear today. Jen/Josh were going to paddle board later in the afternoon but they closed it due to the wind/seas. We left to come back to the ship a little after 4. They have restrooms, changing rooms and lockers for rent, but we just left our stuff (everything except ID/CC and cash) on the chairs. There were plenty of taxis waiting to take people back. We walked through some of the shops at the pier, Josh bought 2 shirts ($14) and another Skull (He bought one in Labadee).

fligster Posted April 28, 2019 Author #112 Share Posted April 28, 2019 Suite lounge is only crowded now after 8:30 group left. It was jammed before. Jen and josh were going to eat at coastal kitchen but there were 8 groups waiting for tables ahead of us, so they ate from the lounge continental breakfast. fligster Posted April 28, 2019 Author #117 Share Posted April 28, 2019 So the priority disembarkation didn't seem to be priority. We waited in the suite lounge and went with the 9:00 am group. Everyone lined up and waited for elevators. Our guide took one group in an elevator and told us to wait for him. After about 10 minutes Elaine (Concierge) comes out and says we should take elevators down to 5 and wait at the bionic bar. We did so and there were maybe 50 people waiting at the bar. While we are waiting many non priority people walked by and off the ship. Finally the guide came down and escorted us to leave the ship through the normal gangway. Once off the ship in the terminal we waited in a group again, while others passed us. We then were led down to the baggage area to a section that had suite luggage (and Key program luggage). We found our luggage quickly and went into the suite line for immigration which was shorter than the regular line. The only benefit was the immigration line, we could of just went down ourselves without all the waiting and it would of been quicker. We weren't in a hurry though since our flight isn't until 12:25. Calling for an Uber was easy, but the pickup area was a mess. Our Uber was there in less than 5 minutes, but then he didn't pull in far enough, the officer directing traffic didn't' like that and ordered him to leave and pull around again. So we had to wait for him to circle around. Once we got in, it was a quick ride to FLL. The airport wasn't that crowded, checked our bags and through TSA Precheck and in the gate area at 10:06. That will do it for this cruise. I will be working on the vlogs. Day 2 should be up today. The rest should come every few days for the next couple of weeks. Thanks for following along.
