General Comments:

 

All bids are still pending. Doing a mock booking shows 20 Sky Suites available and 4 Celebrity Suites. I didn't count the Aqua rooms as there were a lot available. I know they have until a few days before sailing to accept or reject but I've seen other bids for later cruises accepted for the minimum bid. I really want the suite upgrade but I'm not holding my breath. Did anyone else wait this long to hear back?

It stayed that way until approximately 5 days before the cruise. I was then charged and received the official email notification of the upgrade.

FYI, per TRENT, my CELEBRITY cruise specialist: If your bid is accepted, you will only earn POINTS based upon your originally booked category, not your bid up category.  Keep that in mind if you are thinking of moving closer to the next tier..

General Comments (offer details, etc.)  I had originally wanted a stateroom with a balcony but it wasn't in the budget at the time of original booking.  I had kept an eye on the offers that were available on the MoveUp page but never pulled the trigger since they seemed a bit more than I wanted to spend.  Watching availability over the past few weeks, I checked again and found that the minimum offer had been reduced.  Made an offer just slightly above minimum about a week and a half ago for only the IV stateroom.  Approval came today, but we were assigned to a room over the theater in category E4.  I called and spoke with a representative and was able to move to an aft cabin in the same category with no questions asked.

Nothing yet! In January when this happened on the Edge, it was exactly 5 days before the cruise. So I expect I will hear this weekend. The status is still unchanged when I check the MoveUp page - no more option to change my bid, Concierge bid is 'Expired', and Aqua is 'Pending'. My card has not been charged yet.
